Position Summary

As a Senior Product Quality Manager you will work as a member of the System LSI Quality team supporting the R&D and New Product Development team. You will contribute to developing qualification and certification plans to ensure that problems are detected prior to Product release and mass production. By making objective judgments and driving continuous improvement you will ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Participate in new product development activities, including project planning for quality & zero defects strategies
  • Engage in development of qualification plans to ensure problems are detected prior to mass production
  • Engage in the execution of qualification to ensure timely, successful completion
  • Assess product development and qualification results and provide approval decision
  • Assess routine failure modes, identify potential / emerging problems, and take preventive / corrective action, accordingly
  • Ensure timely communication of related quality and reliability information to Samsung HQ for customer satisfaction
  • Drive process change approvals as per automotive industry requirements
  • Drive quality risks assessment deploying problems solving methodology, coordinating Root Cause analysis and Corrective actions for continuous quality improvement (8D’s)
  • Contribute to the development of processes, tools and methods
  • Deal as a customer interface for technical and quality issues for automotive customers
  • Ensure close cooperation to align customer and Headquarter quality organizations
  • Preparing / coordinating quality meetings with major customers as required during APQP
  • Professional reporting of quality issues and KPI to HQ / EU management

Skills and Qualifications

  • A degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent education
  • Solid professional experience in quality management within the semiconductor industry
  • Customer-facing experience in automotive quality or similar function
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, methods, and procedures (e.g., IATF 16949, risk management, FMEA, 8D)
  • Knowledge of industry standards (JEDEC / AEC-Q100) and six-sigma tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including strong Excel skills with Power Query and Data Modeling
  • Strong understanding of reliability methods, accelerated stressing and probability statistics knowledge
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
  • Advanced experience in semiconductor and IC technology
  • Willingness to occasional business trips
