The VP & GM,Viral Vector is responsible for leading the Viral Vector BusinessUnit and driving continuous improvement and ultimately ensuringlong-term businesssuccess.

This position is partof the leadership team of the Genomic Medicine Operating Companywhich is one of 4 operating companies within Cytiva.

The idealcandidate is located in Cologne, Germany. At Cytiva, our vision is,to advance future therapeutics from discovery todelivery.

Whatyou willdo :

• OverallP&L ownership for the viral vector business unit includingleadership of Cytiva’s viral vector cell linebusiness
• Develop and ensure success of new,differentiated, innovative products while maximizing the revenuefrom the existing portfolio of products.
• Pursuethe integration of recently acquired Cell Line business (prev.Cevec), install as Cell Line COE for Genomic MedicineOpCo
• Provide direction on strategy,rationalization and optimization for our sales channels for aglobal portfolio of products.
• Evaluate / sponsor inorganic opportunities (from OI toM&A)
• Contribute to the success of theGenomic Medicine OpCo as active senior member of the leadershipteam; contribute to Danaher progress in AdvancedTherapies
• Partner withR&D and Product Management across businesses and Operatingcompanies to execute the New Product Development Roadmap anddriving innovative business opportunities through a Phase-GateDevelopment process from product ideation phase to the Ramp Up phase of the projects.

Assure maximum Return on Investment(ROI) considering capacity and capability gaps, channel gaps &incremental revenue and marginimprovements.

• Acceleratetalent management to ensure the continued development for directreports. Partner closely with the human resources organization indeveloping organizational capabilities through succession planning,organizational assessment, identification of key skill gaps, talentacquisition and talent development strategies that link withbusiness goals.
• Promote a culture of highperformance, and continuous improvement to deliver in a fast-pacedand rapidly evolvingindustry.

Whoyouare :

• Master’sDegree, Ph.D. or equivalent in related life sciences with 15+ yearscommercial, product development, strategic planning and generalmanagement experience in a related Life Sciencesindustry.
• Data drivenapproach to decision making, track record of developing businesscases or strategicproposals.
• Experiencedin building credibility with customers, key opinion leaders,internal stakeholders and ability to connect with senior leaders atglobalcustomers.
• Seasonedleader with ability to develop and scale businesses and talent,having led seasoned functional experts and leader ofleaders.
• Provenexperience leading successfully in a matrix environment -influentialleadership

Itwould be a plus if you also possess previous experiencein :

• ViralVector / Genomic Medicine workflows
• Ideally have ledlarge teams and P&Lownership
