Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Transportation Management & Optimization :

Serve as the primary point of contact for the implementation, configuration, and management of the TMS platform.

  • Oversee the maintenance and updates of the TMS system to ensure alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity, compliance, and adherence to company Delegation of Authority policies.
  • Reporting & Data Management
  • Development of relevant reporting or optimization of existing reporting in close collaboration with our business intelligence team to identify / propose improvement priorities to Global Logistics Manager

  • Analyzing data innovatively and developing state-of-the-art solutions through analysis of big data in order to design and improve business processes.
  • Design, develop, and establish KPIs to provide strategic insights to drive growth, performance and savings.
  • Participating and supporting in overarching strategic as well as operative projects.
  • Training & Support :
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for internal and external stakeholders to maximize the effective use of the TMS.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for end-users, resolving system issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and best practice documentation for internal and external users
  • First point of contact for all TMS system troubleshooting inquiries.
  • Rate Card Management :
  • Manage and update rate cards within the TMS, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for carrier rates, fuel surcharges, and accessorials.

  • Collaborate with the procurement team and logistics managers to update rate agreements and validate carrier contracts.
  • EDI Integration & System Alignment :
  • Oversee EDI integration projects between the TMS and various stakeholders, including carriers, suppliers, and internal systems.

  • Ensure smooth data exchange and alignment between the TMS and other logistics software platforms (e.g., ERP, WMS).
  • Compliance, Audits & Controls :
  • Implement and enforce control mechanisms to ensure all TMS operations comply with company DOA policies.

  • Conduct regular system audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor user access levels and permissions within the system to prevent unauthorized activities and maintain data security.
  • Project Management :
  • Lead and manage logistics-related IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Manage and lead improvement activities across multiple sites, business segments and / or functions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and supply chain, to support system implementations, upgrades, and new feature rollouts.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance system functionality and user experience.
  • Qualifications

  • Experience : Minimum of 9 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or IT project management, with a focus on Transportation Management Systems.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of TMS platforms, EDI processes, and logistics systems integration.
  • Knowledge and Skills :

  • Experience in training and supporting end-users on logistics systems.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of audit and compliance processes within a logistics or supply chain environment
  • Proven ability to manage logistics operations across multiple sites and regions.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage vendor and carrier relationships effectively.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in critical path analysis, reporting, risk management tracking and the completion of corrective action plans.
  • Good facilitator and negotiator, able to bring together cross functional teams to find solutions to problems quickly.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach by working openly with others to achieve overall customer satisfaction.
