A little about us :

Container xChange is the leading online platform for container leasing and trading. We simplify the logistics of global trade making the processes surrounding the container as simple as the container itself by providing a neutral infrastructure for all logistics companies.

Our team of 100 likeminded xChangees from 40 nationalities has made this possible! We have scaled far beyond the small startup we once were and continue to disrupt the industry together.

The role :

Join us for a 6month internship position and gain valuable experience in the container logistics industry.

At xChange we operate a marketplace dedicated to leasing and trading containers providing a neutral secure platform where suppliers and customers can seamlessly lease buy and manage their container transactions. While our platform fosters smooth interactions challenges can occasionally arise including issues like damaged or lost containers and quality discrepancies.

As our Container Operations Intern you will assist in resolving disputes between customers across various claim types. You will support our Claims team as the first point of contact for customers while collaborating with external partners such as insurance providers and surveyors.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain handson experience in claims mediation relationship management problemsolving and operational efficiency while getting a deeper understanding of the container logistics industry.

Location : This role is based at our headquarters in Hamburgs city center.

Requirements

Your Impact :

Claims Resolution Support : You will mediate and resolve customer disputes related to container quality damages or loss ensuring timely and fair resolutions.
Insurance Management Assistance : You will support operational tasks related to insurance including tracking monthly declarations and reconciling records. You will also collaborate with our insurance partners to address specific claim types such as total loss or mysterious disappearance.
Process Improvement : You will contribute to improving claims handling processes by analyzing data leveraging emerging tools and working closely with crossfunctional teams like Product Finance and Support.

What makes you the PERFECT match

You are currently pursuing a degree in Logistics Business Administration or a related field or you are a recent graduate eager to gain practical industry experience.

You approach tasks with a handson attitude and a focus on process optimization. You are eager to learn contribute to daily operations and help improve existing workflows.

You have strong communication and problemsolving skills with a dedication to providing excellent customer support and resolving issues efficiently.

Bonus : First experience in container logistics or operations is a plus but not mandatory.
