Why we need you

You will take responsibility for one of the largest and most powerful healthcare data pipelines in Germany . Our software is deeply integrated into the IT infrastructures of leading hospital groups and processes massive data streams in real-time every day.

Your task is not only to keep this complex ecosystem running but to strategically scale it. You will coordinate the connection of new major customers, tame our heterogeneous interface landscape, and ensure that our cloud architecture remains performant and stable even under high load.

Your profile

You build software that scales. You have already gained extensive experience by working for several years in a fast-growing company.

You have several years of experience with Java / Kotlin and have already had contact with Python or Go.

As a bridge builder, you integrate complex legacy systems into the DAMEDIC Cloud. Through intelligent data extraction and direct database connection, you ensure the interoperability of established IT landscapes.

You work independently, proactively identify problems, and find solutions for our customers and partners on your own responsibility. You don't get flustered even in hectic situations and are good at prioritizing your tasks.

You are fluent (Level C1 / C2) in English and have B1 / B2 level German language skills.

You enjoy coaching other junior developers and supporting them in their work.

Bonus : You have experience with healthcare standards such as HL7 or FHIR.

A typical day at Damedic

• 9 : 00 AM : Like every morning, you check the status of our production system.
• 10 : 00 AM : In the daily standup, you coordinate with your team. You take on a code review and arrange a brainstorming session with a colleague in the afternoon regarding suitable data models.
• 10 : 30 AM : You optimize an existing interface that extracts large amounts of data from a hospital information system. You accelerate the processing in the target system through parallelization.
• 12 : 00 PM : Lunch break
• 1 : 00 PM : With a colleague, you discuss the standardization of the internal data structure, based on new customer requirements. You reach a good result and implement the basic framework in a joint pair-programming session.
• 4 : 00 PM : A colleague from the Research & Development team has an idea of how existing components can be reused to prepare training data. You help with the local setup and offer your assistance for the coming week.
• 5 : 00 PM : At the end of your day, you update the documentation in the ticket system and check your priorities for the next day.
