Role overview :
The primary focus of the role involves the strategic development and programme management of global multi-site Lean Production initiatives / methodologies that focus on defining, deploying, and implementing a production system with the aim to drive growth and development across the company’s sites. A key responsibility will be delivering the creation of lean methodology standards, independently running workshops, conducting audits, and assessing workbooks and equipment standards. Additionally, the role requires regular reporting of the status of the plants to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership and follow up on the definition of the various projects related with different initiatives of Growth and individual sites. As examples (but not limited) :
- Creation and implementation of OPEX workbook
- Take a leadership role in major capital investment projects
- Define equipment standards, workflow and layouts
- Lead OPEX Workshops across multiple factories and cultures
- Support audits to state Operational Excellence level of the plants
- Facilitate deployment of lean manufacturing and OPEX mentality
- Creation of tracking systems for the projects
- Monitor the status of Lean Initiatives / Methodologies for the plants
- Support the definition of technical standards for new investments
- Coaching the teams in the implementation of the different initiatives with a very strong focus on operational excellence initiatives as well as on technical standards.
- Work closely with the Global Operational Excellence Director in the identification of opportunities to improve and make the company more competitive.
- Close collaboration with different regions to support identifying Best Practices and support for proper communication across the locations / sites.
- Close collaboration with other functions such as : IT, CI, Innovation, Production, Quality.
- High involvement in tracking savings coming from Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Standardization and harmonization of activities across multiple global locations.
- Support benchmarking and workshops exercises by collecting and analyzing data to help identifying and implementation of improvements.
- Compliance with the Company Management Systems (e.g. Project, Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Regulations) and keeping them up to date.
Education & Training :
Graduate engineer.Lean / 6Sigma certification or equivalent.Fluent in English.MS Office advance and Power BI.Experience :
Over 10 years’ experience in developing and implementing Lean / 6Sigma methodologies across multiple sites and cultures.International lean programme management experience.Over 15 years’ experience in manufacturing environments (ideally automotive industry or a sector that is renowned for its commitment to operations excellence).Proven experience in defining an OPEX strategy as well as playing a leading role in its implementation and roll-outPrepared to travel extensively on an international basisCompetencies :
