Compliance Specialist

An international company specialising in the manufacturing of high precision milling tools is looking for a proactive and solution-oriented Compliance Specialist to join their team. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, ideally with a BA in either Commercial Law, or Business Administration with a legal focus.

Native level proficiency in German and business level English will be needed for this role.

TYPE : Permanent, full time

SALARY : up to €50k gross, depending on experience

HOURS : 38.5 hours a week, core hours 9am - 3pm

LOCATION : Hilsden, Dusseldorf (hybrid working available)

Compliance Specialist Responsibilities :

• Support and advice on legal issues within the company with a focus on commercial and business law
• Review of contracts and other legal documents (e.g. supplier declarations, declaration of corporate ethics)
• Managing and monitoring Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements and supporting internal departments in implementing these requirements
• Participation in the expansion of the compliance management system and the implementation of company-wide compliance regulations
• Maintenance of the legal register including conducting risk assessments for new laws and issues
• Monitoring of new legal requirements
• Correspondence with external consultants and other stakeholders

Compliance Specialist Ideal Candidate :

• Successfully completed Bachelor's degree in the field of commercial law or business administration with a legal focus or comparable
• Good knowledge of the German and European legal system and regulations
• Initial experience during studies desirable in the area of compliance and environmental, social and governance (ESG)
• Very good understanding of economic contexts
• Native-level knowledge of German and fluent written and spoken English
• Very good self-organization as well as precise and solution-oriented working methods
• Strong communication skills and high social skills
