Leader, Finance & Controlling, SURU (dfm)

As our Leader you will play a key role in building and professionalizing SURUs finance structure. You are responsible for developing our Controlling while also driving procurement treasury compliance and coordination of legal matters with external experts.

You will design scalable and digital controlling processes across the full value chain from procurement to billing in alignment with the Accounting lead and actively collaborate with Technology Product and Sales. Youll work hands-on close to the business and report directly to the Leader SURU.

Acting as Leader Finance & Controlling SURU (d/f/m) you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

• Developing and leading the Controlling function including budgeting forecasting performance reporting and business analysis to support decision-making.
• Establishing and managing procurement and treasury processes ensuring financial planning supplier control and cash flow optimization.
• Ensuring compliance and coordinating legal matters working closely with external legal and tax advisors to meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Support in designing and optimizing (in alignment with Accounting Lead) the end-to-end finance operations including digital processes from procurement to invoicing that enable scalability efficiency and transparency.
• Acting as a key cross-functional partner collaborating with Technology Product and Sales teams to align finance operations with business needs and growth goals.
• Building and continuously improving scalable finance structures laying the foundation for long-term operational and financial excellence.
• Supporting the business in HR-related areas contributing to effective and compliant HR operations in collaboration with internal or external HR-experts.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5 years of experience in Finance Controlling or Business Operations ideally in a fast-paced or entrepreneurial environment
• Proven track record in budgeting forecasting and performance reporting
• Solid understanding of procurement treasury and cash flow management
• Familiarity with compliance requirements and experience working with external legal or tax advisors
• Experience in setting up and optimizing finance and business processes across departments
• A hands-on mindset - youre comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-driven approach
• Experience or interest in supporting HR operations including advising on internal procedures or working with external HR support
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in modern finance tools
• Fluency in German and strong command of English (written and spoken)
• A mindset aligned with long-term purposeful work. You see this as a marathon not a sprint
