  • Optimization of German tax burden of LH Group
  • Self-dependent enforcement of LH Group´s positions on taxes in case of tax audits
  • In charge for results of tax audits for the issues direct taxation, VAT, wage taxes, insurance tax, real estate taxes for all major shareholdings in Germany of LH Group
  • Worldwide enforcement of developed solutions for LH Group´s measures with regard to national tax administrations
  • Give directives to all affiliates regarding tax-audits (code-of-conduct regarding tax-audits, general principles for digital audits-guideline)
  • Tax planning calculations and determination of tax provisions and tax contributions following results of tax audits of LH Group
  • Preparation of decisions on intervening on higher-ranked administrative level in cases of conflict during an audit and preparation of analysis of chances of success for possible legal actions
  • Development and execution of training and information events
  • Ensure risk management with regard to identified risks or existing administrative statements following recent or pending tax audits

    • University degree [economics, legal] with tax as core area
    • Certified Tax Advisor or similar
    • Deep knowledge of economic tax doctrine as well as legal methodology to interpret and analyze the tax law
    • Minimum of 15 years doing tax business, thereof a minimum of 10 years doing corporate tax law
    • Excellent knowledge of corporate tax law, well-grounded knowledge of administrative law, company law, national and international commercial law (HGB, IFRS)
    • Very good knowledge of the hierarchical composition and the working procedures of tax administrations
    • Strong proximity to the subject
    • Strong negotiating / facilitating skills and mediation orientation
    • Focus on decision and implementation
    • Neutrality and objectivity towards companies / business units in terms of solutions
