Senior Software Engineer (Django)

Were looking for a highly accomplished Senior Software Engineer (Django Specialist) to act as the primary backend authority within a multi-disciplinary product squad at one of Europes fastest-growing legal-tech scale-ups. Our AI-enabled products are already in the hands of thousands of lawyers and in-house customers; now we need the deepest Django expertise to harden and extend the platforms core while we accelerate feature velocity and market expansion.

Operating within a cross-functional squad and collaborating closely with the Technical Lead you will take ownership of our most complex backend systems and architectural decisions. Your work will shape database design asynchronous processing pipelines performance engineering and security posture. Experience with Vue 3 or modern front-end tooling is a plus enabling you to contribute effectively to full-stack feature development.

For a senior engineer who excels at navigating intricate codebases designing clean and scalable abstractions and raising the technical bar through mentorship and example this role offers significant impact on a modern cloud-native platform undergoing rapid growth.

This position offers the scope to operate with autonomy while working within a guided squad structure. As a squads developer you will translate complex product requirements into dependable scalable solutions; define service boundaries and migration strategies; contribute to technical design reviews; and ensure our Python ecosystem is resilient and production-ready.

Youll have meaningful ownership of mission-critical components direct influence on technical decision-making and the opportunity to help shape how the engineering organisation tackles its most challenging problems as we scale across markets and use cases.

• Architect and deliver robust scalable solutions for the entire product suite taking full ownership of complex initiatives end-to-end together with your squad.
• Design and evolve sophisticated systems that meet performance security and maintainability goals.
