Job Description
We are on the lookout for a full-stack Data Scientist (all genders) to join one of our consumer product tribes that builds and scales the digital experience enjoyed by millions of consumers across 11 brands in 70+ countries. Our users can do a lot on our platform—order food delivery, buy groceries, find dine-in deals, discover new ad offerings from our partners, play games in our loyalty program (and more!)—and our goal is to make all this as delightful, personalised and seamless an experience as possible!
The Customer Insights squad (part of the Customer Data Platform domain) enables personalization by transforming consumer data into actionable insights and data-driven targeting, with the objective of increasing customer satisfaction, lifetime value and driving profitability globally, across all of Delivery Hero’s entities and markets.
This role is based in Berlin and the domain is structured as cross-functional squads that focus on different aspects of building a truly global Customer Data Platform.
Build and operate end-to-end data science models that focus on improving the customer journey through more effective targeting and segmentation.
Solve complex business problems by applying your knowledge and experience in advanced data science techniques.
Analyse and interpret data to gain insights and inform decision-making.
Collaborate with the CDP platform teams to build, deploy, monitor and operationalise production-grade data science models and services.
Collaborate with product specialists, and user experience teams to understand business processes, identify data and solution requirements.
Qualifications
Solid experience applying statistical and machine learning models.
Solid experience in SQL and Python.
Experience with productionalizing data science models and validating their online performance using testing methodologies (such as A / B testing).
Experience with cloud-based computing platforms, such as GCP or AWS as well as deep knowledge with MLOps best practices and tools.
You are a critical thinker and creative problem solver who strives for excellence.
You are a team player who loves to collaborate and work with stakeholders from different backgrounds in an international environment.
Nice to have :
Proven track record of scientific work in your bachelors, masters or PhD in statistics, physics, economics, mathematics, data science or similar.
Hands-on experience in collaborating with marketing teams, e.g. for incentive optimisation.
Experience in reinforcement learning approaches such as multi-armed bandit (MAB).
Previous experience working in a cross-functional platform team / organisation.
