Job Summary

As QA Manager, you will oversee all aspects of quality assurance across the software development lifecycle. This role involves leading the QA team, developing and implementing testing strategies, and ensuring our software products meet the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QA management, strong technical skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of QA staff.
• Develop and implement QA strategies that align with company goals and objectives.

Quality Assurance Planning

• Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and schedules for all software projects.
• Define and enforce quality standards, guidelines, and best practices across the QA team.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand project requirements and ensure testability.

Test Management

• Oversee the design, development, and execution of manual and automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools.
• Manage the defect lifecycle, including defect reporting, tracking, and resolution.

Process Improvement

• Continuously assess and improve QA processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software quality assurance.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation and innovation in QA practices.

Metrics and Reporting

• Define and track key quality metrics, such as defect density, test coverage, and release quality.
• Generate and present regular reports on QA activities, performance metrics, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
• Use data to identify areas for improvement and drive decision-making.

Collaboration and Communication :

• Work closely with development, product management, and other teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and requirements.
• Facilitate communication between the QA team and other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Participate in project meetings, providing QA insights and updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance in a related field, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including test automation and manual testing.
• Experience with test management tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Proficiency in QA tools such as Jira, Confluence, and test management systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, delivering high-quality results on time.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices in software development.
