Purpose of this role
This is an exciting role that allows for career growth and development in the area of Compliance. You will be one of our Compliance Managers and part of our compliance team at Athora Germany. Athora is a (re-)insurance group with a focus on Europe.
You report to the Head of Compliance function and you will work closely with colleagues in 1st, 2nd and 3rd line. Moreover, you cooperate closely with Group Compliance to ensure full alignment of the local compliance framework to group standards.
Key Contribution Areas
Based in Athora’s Wiesbaden office, the successful candidate supports the Head of Compliance in the tasks and activities of the compliance function.
Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of a compliance management system incl. coordination with the Group
Identification, analysis and management of compliance risks in the operational units
Further development, communication and monitoring of guidelines, standards and policies for compliance issues
Legal assessment of compliance-related matters including tracking new laws and regulations and assessing the impact on the business
Conception and implementation of compliance communication measures
Preparation and updating of training documents
Prepare Compliance reports

Functional or Technical Knowledge and Skill Required
Degree in law, business or corresponding fields
2-3 years of professional experience in the field of compliance, risk management, auditing and / or consulting
Ability to think analytically and quickly recognize complex issues
Independent, self-reliant, results-oriented action
Integrity, communication skills, assertiveness, and a confident manner
Very good written and spoken English and German language skills
