Position title : SAP HANA iXp Intern (f / m / d) – Software Developer AI and Analytics

Location : Walldorf

Expected start date : 1st of March 2026

In this role, you’ll :

• Project scope and deliverables – You will be exploring the usage of AI in the field of the HANA Analytical Engine – especially Natural Language processing and translation to INformationAccess Query requests. This would enable users to retrieve analytical business information and KPIs by entering natural language requests
• Business impact – this work will help to explore potential use cases and support our developments to embed AI into the use cases of the HANA Analytical engine
• Team environment and collaboration – you will work with internal developers and be mentored by our development architect(s)
• Learning opportunities – you will learn about SAP HANA, the Analytical Engine and SAP AI tools such as Knowledge Graph and Joule

The HANA MDS team is reponsible for the the development of the MultiDimensionalServices (MDS) and Analytics Accelerator.

MDS is used to define multidimensional queries including aggregation, transformation and calculation executed by the HANA core engines.

The Analytics Accelerator is targeting the analytical processing on huge data volumes and multi-user scenarios leveraging a read-optimized data representation (MDS Cube).

These analytical engines are used by SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP DataSphere, SAP BusinessData Cloud and CAP Analytics.
