Coordinator for the Integrated ResearchTraining Group (IRTG) (f / m / x)
up to salary level E13, 50 % position until 31.12.2026
The position is available to be filled as soon as possible .
The CRC / SFB 1372 is aiming to understand magnetoreception andnavigation in vertebrates. Our genuinely synergetic and collaborativeinitiatives bring together behavioural biology, biochemistry, molecularbiology, quantum physics and spin chemistry, in a unique, ambitious,imaginative way. To achieve this, the IRTG was installed to offer doctoralresearchers training and teaching courses covering all necessary skills tosuccessfully pursue their scientific projects. To succeed in our ambitious objectives, we are looking for a highlyexperienced, skilled and well-organized manager to administrate and organizethe IRTG programme.
The job includes and experiences :
- Coordination ofthe IRTG qualification programme, including courses, the weekly seminar, thelecture series and other activities of the IRTG, together with the two projectleaders
- Preparation anddistribution of general information and the correspondence within and outsidethe IRTG group
- Contact withcoordinators of similar doctoral programmes and with OLTECH to co-organizeworkshops and symposia of common interest for the doctoral researchers
- Taking care ofalso non-scientific questions and problems the doctoral researchers may have
- Preparation andcoordination of strategic IRTG meetings, and implementation of the decisions inclose interaction with the project leaders
- Development andorganisation of subject-specific events within the framework of the IRTG
- Ability toefficiently communicate our research findings on social media, maintenance ofwebsites and experience in generating graphics and strategic illustrations forapplications etc.
- Close interactionwith the coordinator of the CRC
- Organisation ofconferences and excursions to promote the exchange of information betweendoctoral researchers and speakers / staff from different research institutions oncareer paths and professional life
