System Administrator IT-Support (f/m/d)

As part of our IT team, you will support our staff in fulfilling their research tasks by operating central IT services and developing or co-designing new IT systems.

You will work in an environment of the latest technological developments. We offer you the opportunity to support our scientists in their project work and to maintain and further develop our unique research infrastructure.

What you will do

• Support staff on Windows, Linux, or Mac workstations - you will decide on resolution options on a case-by-case basis and prioritize requests independently
• Covering support operations in our helpdesk and 1st level support for end users (by phone, e-mail and on-site)
• Prioritization of tickets and documentation of requests in the ticket system
• Independent processing and resolution of requests from 1st-level support together with 2nd-level support
• Create and maintain various user accounts for internal as well as external services

What you bring to the table

• A completed training in information technology or relevant certification and equivalent experiences.
• Experiences in installation and configuration of client systems by means of software distribution systems, including troubleshooting for
• Windows
• Linux (Ubuntu)
• MacOS
• Handling of service requests via a ticket system
• First knowledge in the areas of network technology, virtualization or mobile device management
• Good German or English skills
