We are searching for a Power semiconductor test system design engineer! As part of the research team you will be working on understanding new semiconductor failure modes or tests and create concepts for first-of-a-kind reliability test systems and functions.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :
- Research of semiconductor failure modes and create concepts to efficiently stimulate failure modes and monitor degradation parameters.
- Network with cooperative- and academic research groups around the world to drive understanding and implementation of new test methods.
- Contribute to ECPE / AQG- standardizations and participate in background discussions
- Use your understanding to design first-of-a-kind test systems and verify the intended failure mode on semiconductors
- Representing Emerson at conferences, workshops, and standardization working groups

For This Role, You Will Need :
Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, information technology, mechatronics, microtechnology, nanoscience, physics or a comparable course of studyExperience in parameter measurement and reliability testing of power semiconductors including wide bandgap materialsPassion for unique technical challenges, technology and working independentlyNot all from this list – we are all fast learners and enjoyPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart :
Familiar with reliability testing, AQG / JC / AEC-Q or similiarExpertise in the practical implementation of power semiconductor reliability tests, especially power cyclingBackground of Semiconductor Power Module design, characterization or testingUnderstanding of EV Powertrain, especially Inverter specific
