Senior Consultant (m / w / d) Machine Learning Engineering

As an AI / ML Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering innovative AI and machine learning solutions that address the complex business challenges of T-Systems enterprise clients. Combining deep technical expertise with strong consultative skills, youll bridge the gap between customer requirements and robust, scalable AI architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with clients to understand business needs and translate them into AI / ML solution designs.Architect, develop, and implement end-to-end machine learning systems, with an emphasis on large language models (LLMs) and cutting-edge AI technologies
• Lead technical workshops and proofs of concept, demonstrating the value of AI / ML solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Customize and deploy AI-driven solutions, integrating with clients existing IT landscapes and ensuring regulatory and security compliance
• Stay up to date with the latest research, tools, and frameworks in AI and machine learningquickly experiment with new approaches and technologies
• Analyze data to extract actionable insights and inform the development, deployment, and tuning of AI models.Work closely with internal cross-functional teamsincluding engineering, sales, and product managementto deliver tailored client solutions
• Support business development efforts with technical expertise in pre-sales engagements, helping to scope and shape new AI opportunities
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in AI / ML solution design, implementation, or consulting roles
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
• Advanced programming ability in Python and familiarity with modern development workflows
• Practical experience with LLMs and popular AI / ML frameworks : Transformers, PyTorch, TensorFlowexpertise with RAG frameworks such as LlamaIndex or LangChain is highly valued
• Proven record integrating APIs and deploying scalable, low-latency machine learning solutions into production
• Ability to rapidly digest new information from research papers and blogs, apply it, and drive system enhancements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German with the ability to explain complex ideas to diverse audiences
• Previous client-facing experience and / or involvement in technical pre-sales is a plus
