Assaia’s mission is to use AI to give airports and airlines control to predict, respond and automate turnaround operations so that airlines can turnaround aircraft quicker and airports free up gates faster.

Assaia is proven to create a safer, more efficient & sustainable ecosystem enabling passengers to feel confident they can travel on time, safely and sustainably.

We were founded in February 2018 in Switzerland and have substantially grown globally, especially in North America and Europe.

Our main product, ApronAI, is a computer vision system that monitors and analyses aircraft turnaround processes from video streams.

The data that the system generates is used in real-time for gate planning, alerting, delay predictions, and sustainability data.

ApronAI is deployed in mission critical contexts by some of the world’s busiest airports.

You will be a member of our successful sales team and as such act as the face of Assaia towards customers, partners and industry bodies.

This also means that you will get a chance to visit many interesting places in your region and get to know lots of industry experts.

Your primary objective as Sales Manager EMEA is to extend Assaia’s customer base in the EMEA region with a focus on airline and airport accounts.

We are looking for a highly energetic and ambitious (aviation) IT sales manager . If you are eager to travel the world in order to work with complex customer organisations in different cultures to close deals, you are a perfect candidate for us.

Responsibilities

Spreading the word and engaging with potential customers is essential in keeping and increasing our current growth trajectory.

As the Sales Manager EMEA, you will have the following responsibilities :

  • Build and manage a strategic sales approach for accounts in the region;
  • Analyze and understand customer organizations in detail and work jointly alongside the customer teams to drive engagement;
  • Own and work through the entire sales life cycle of all accounts in the region;
  • Support the other members of the Sales team;
  • Work directly together with the Customer Success team to identify and close opportunities with existing customers;
  • Closely monitor market- and customer-trends to drive Assaia’s product, brand and market share in the region;
  • Plan and conduct remote and on-site customer meetings;
  • Engage with related internal teams, such as Project Management, Customer Success and IT to successfully close deals;
  • Represent Assaia globally during industry events;
  • Liaise with Assaia partner companies for new opportunities;
  • Independently manage all necessary administrative tasks, such as responses to tenders, travel arrangements, account qualification and sales analytics.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years experience in complex sales and preferably in an Aviation- and / or IT-related environment;
  • Very strong and proven track-record of effectively closing enterprise deals with complex customer organizations;
  • Ability to navigate and work with different hierarchies within an enterprise organization;
  • Self-confident person with a very strong customer-centric mindset;
  • Very likeable and highly empathetic;
  • Ability and willingness for extensive domestic & international travel;
  • Can operate in a multicultural work environment;
  • Fluent command of English is a must;
  • Must have an unrestricted ability to work in the EU, Switzerland or the United Kingdom;
  • Must have the ability to travel freely in the EMEA region.

Preferred additional qualifications

  • Previous experience of working in a very high-paced growth-company work environment;
  • In-depth experience or interest in the aviation sector;
  • Extensive network within the aviation industry;
  • Business fluent command of German and / or French and / or Spanish and / or Arabic;
  • Located within the European Union, Switzerland or the United Kingdom;
  • Strong analytical skills.
