Responsibilities
This paid internship mirrors our full-time analyst role. The internship duration is usually three to six months (flexible) with flexible start dates throughout the year. Interns work closely with senior staff on projects across a variety of industries, and will give Interns a greater understanding of what it is like to work as an economist at CRA. A typical Intern may :
- Identify potential issues and conduct analyses that can be used to illustrate economic arguments;
- Assemble compelling evidence from data and research that support our expert opinions and business recommendations;
- Program, build models and / or perform regression analyses in statistical analysis programs (such as Stata, Python, R), including large data projects requiring use of cloud computing;
- Assist in the development and presentation of client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers summarising opinions, conclusions, and recommendations using financial, market, industry or client-proprietary data;
- Communicate complicated economic concepts and arguments to internal teams in an understandable, accessible manner;
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
Desired Qualifications
Candidates studying economics at either Master's or PhD / DPhil level;Candidates should have a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialisation in industrial economics and / or econometrics;German language fluency essential;High degree of numeracy and comfort with data manipulation are essential, familiarity with econometric techniques desirable;Relevant research experience;Effective oral and written communication skills;Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership;Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities;Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills; andClear and demonstrated interest in consulting through coursework, work experience, or activities.
