Hauptaufgaben

Operates gasoline, diesel or multi-fuel powered heavy automotive transportation vehicles such as : heavy tractors, semitrailers, heavy special trucks, heavy crane trucks, large tank wagons at air bases, etc., and busses with more than 24 person seating capacity on continuous line service running IAW a steady schedule, of any civilian and military type, equipped with stick shift or automatic transmission or all-wheel drive, and the vehicles may be operated on any surface, traffic or weather condition.

• Drives vehicles as directed or instructed on shortest and safest route to destination. Performs driver's maintenance, and checks before, during, and after operation and keeps in and outside of vehicle clean as weather permits. Maintains trip tickets and records with necessary data.

Loads or directs the loading of vehicle with material to be transported, and directs distribution of passengers, to obtain approximately even loading, to prevent shifting of cargo and to have balanced load on wheels; assures that vehicle is not overloaded, if applicable, passengers are wearing safety belts, discipline is maintained and cargo and vehicle is secured against weather, theft, looting or loss.

Carries out operator's service and maintenance work, such as cleaning and adjusting vehicles stationed at the TMP, operates the TMP carwash to include the following : Changes flat tires, refuels vehicle, replenishes oil, cooling water, antifreeze, hydraulic fluid and distilled water in battery. Observes vehicle performance and reports all deficiencies to supervisor or issuing facility for initiation of corrective action.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifikationsanforderungen

A-5703-5 :

Completed vocational training of at least 30 months in the appropriate trade.

Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung in der entsprechenden Gewerbegruppe mit einer Ausbildungsdauer von mindestens 30 Monaten.

OR / ODER

5 years of specialized experience.

5 Jahre einschlaegige Berufserfahrung.

A-5703-6 :

Completed vocational training in the appropriate trade PLUS 2 years experience at a level of difficulty comparable to the Wage Group 5 or equivalent. The applicant must be able to perform the duties independently.

Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung in der entsprechenden Gewerbegruppe mit einer Ausbildungsdauer von mindestens 30 Monaten, PLUS 2 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Lohngruppe 5 oder in, vom Schwierigkeitsgrad vergleichbaren Taetigkeiten, welche selbstaendig ausgeuebt wurden.

OR / ODER

8 years of specialized experience of which 3 years must have been performed at the wage group 5 or equivalent level.

8 Jahre einschlaegige Berufserfahrung von denen mindestens 3 Jahre in der Lohngruppe 5 oder vergleichbaren Taetigkeiten ausgeuebt wurden.
