WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As a trainee, you’ll embark on an exciting 18- to 24-month journey, gaining hands-on experience and insights across various business, manufacturing, and functional areas within BASF Coatings. This program offers the option to explore working on both operational and strategic tasks. Together, we’ll define three to four rotational placements tailored to your interests and development goals.

You’ll have the chance to build a broad professional network and develop your skills in a supportive, collaborative and international environment.

You’ll actively contribute to the development and ongoing optimization of our IT landscape, with SAP as our ERP system and additional digital solutions at local, regional, and global levels.

• In Application Management units you’ll evaluate, commission, and coordinate project ideas from key users to ensure smooth implementation as part of your daily tasks. This involves using agile working methods to develop and advance these solutions.
• Digital Product Management is the place to be to strengthen digital business models within the business unit. Here you will capture the customer needs and transfer them into new / existing digital products as value add to our goods and services.
• Within Application Development you can bring in your creativity and knowledge to find the best result for an automation or digitalization. Also, the maintenance of existing applications will be part of your tasks here.
• This experience will ideally prepare you for your future target role in our Digital Solutions & IT Architecture unit, which we’ll define together with you.
• In line with our travel guidelines, a three- to six-month international assignment is an integral part of the program.
• We are flexible in coordinating your preferred start date.
