- Support the research, development and set-up of new test methodologies and equipment
- Continuously improve existing testing methodologies and equipment
- Support the standards team in defining standards for new test methodologies and equipment
Laboratory Testing
Handle testing requests from various business partnersExecute all kinds of physical material, component and finished good tests within the given timelines and according to the latest testing standardsEvaluate, track and analyze test results and write reports, summaries and presentationsTranslate test results into recommendations for material, component and product development and communicate this to respective counterpartsEnsure proper data management in the respective systems in time and accurate formatPlan and coordinate Round Robin TestsHandle sample process from request to storageDiverse
Support device purchasing processMaintain Testing facilities and devicesTrain and coach colleagues and employees of other departments on lab testing related topicsConsult T1’s in Europe on Lab setup and lab related topicsSupport T1 Lab’s regarding implementation of new testing methodologies, standards and requirementsKey Relationships :

4 year College / University degree in Engineering or relevant fieldFirst practical experience such as internship or working student in research center or associated field preferred (e.g. laboratory or manufacturing)Alternatively : 3.5 year apprenticeship as Textile Laboratory Assistant (Textillaborant), Shoemaker or relevant field with min. 3 years of relevant work experience
