Head of Finance

Your Role

• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, driving a high-performance and collaborative culture
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Manage and oversee the month end financial accounts process, including full production of management accounts
• Optimise cash flow management
• Producing the financial statements including balance sheet, cash flows and P&L
• Review monthly actual, forecast, and plan performance; understand deviations from both forecast and plan to provide insights to senior management
• Effectively partner with the Executive/Senior Leadership teams and department/function leads on financial activities
• Ensure all scheduled reporting is successfully executed and distributed; research, troubleshoot and resolve reporting or data related issues
• Prepare, analyse, and select the best methods of presenting various data (reports, charts, diagrams). Summarise findings in concise and creative ways
• Contribute to fund raising activities as and when needed

Your Profile

• Proven and demonstrable leadership skills working within a fast paced organisation (start up experience ideal)
• Highly experienced across all areas of finance with a drive for excellence and constant improvement
• Ability to support activities of others, including coaching, training, guiding, developing, and managing.
• Ability to perform financial planning and budget preparation tasks, as needed.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to represent the company in a variety of internal and external settings
• Experience with funding rounds would be highly advantageous
