Senior Information Technology Security Specialist (m/f/d)

Our client specializes in advancing automotive engineering and technological innovation for a global automobile manufacturer.
They are seeking a Senior IT Security Specialist to contribute to ongoing projects, emphasizing the critical role of cybersecurity in their operations.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate strategic planning within the security domain
- Formulate an optimized security strategy for R&D
- Establish standard security policies and guidelines
- Lead cybersecurity committee meetings with markets to share strategies and discuss common security tasks
- Assume a pivotal role in immediate cybersecurity incident response
- Coordinate and oversee third-party operations
- Enhance detection capabilities and operational procedures continually
- Maintain close ties with Regional HQ and HQ Security Organizations
Requirements :
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Security
- Proficiency in CERT operations, SIEM systems, security solutions, and vulnerability management processes is essential
- Strong knowledge of relevant information security standards and best practices such as ISO standards, BSI-Grundschutz, and BDSG
- Experience in reviewing and managing security permissions and access control mechanisms, including user access rights, role-based access controls (RBAC), and least privilege principles, is required
- Able to conduct comprehensive onsite security assessments, network infrastructure audits, and vulnerability scanning, to identify and address security gaps
- Fluent proficiency in both German and English is mandatory
