Data Engineer – Grid Cost Analysis Project

2.5-3 months | Fully Remote

German speaking is an added advantage

About the Project

  • Expansion of our grid cost calculation system across European markets
  • Enhancing margin analysis capabilities by integrating diverse grid cost structures
  • Building on successful implementations in Denmark, Sweden, and the Czech Republic
  • New market focus : Germany, UK, Romania, Hungary , with potential expansion into Italy and the Netherlands

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement grid cost calculation models for various European markets
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including REST APIs, Excel files, CPMS, and Salesforce
  • Collaborate with global sourcing teams and local market experts
  • Extend and enhance Azure-based data architecture
  • Maintain clear documentation for knowledge transfer

    • Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Strong SQL and Python (Pandas, Spark) skills
  • Experience using Jupyter notebooks for data analysis
  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders
  • Expertise in REST API integrations (GET endpoints)
  • Proficiency in Git version control
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Fluent German speaker – required for collaboration with stakeholders

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  • Knowledge of grid and energy networks
  • Familiarity with European energy markets
  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization

    • Technical Environment

  • Cloud : Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Databricks)
  • Data Sources : REST APIs, Excel, CPMS, Salesforce
  • Visualization : Power BI
  • Development Tools : Python, SQL, Git
