The Metals & Chemical Processing Business (MCP) offers products and services to acid & off-gas, fluid bed and light metals customers. Manager, Logistics Metals, MCP Germany (f / m / x)

The job holder will join the “Logistics” department, which is part of MCP’s Supply & Delivery organization. In this position, you will report to Jana Luft, Director, Logistics BA Metals.

This position is located in Oberursel, Germany.

What you'll do

  • Leads and provides guidance to the Project Logistics team of Metals MCP Germany and is responsible for all aspects related to this leadership role
  • Represents Metals MCP Project Logistics, Germany to internal and external stakeholders in regard to matters related to Sales, Execution as well as development and improvement projects linked to Project Logistics
  • Assures proper implementation of the valid Logistics processes, templates and guidelines as well as systems in use
  • Identifies and reports resourcing requirements, competency development needs
  • Drives Metso position in contractual matters
  • Is the first point of contact for escalation in key operational matters and any issues in the responsibility area
  • Acts as lead buddy and local manager for new team members located in Germany
  • Executes projects on the role as Project Logistics Manager

Who you are

  • Your leadership skills based on cooperative and collaborative behaviour and you have the ability to motivate and act as a coach and mentor to team members on demand.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines by focusing on customer’s demand is proven in your daily work and leads as an example for colleagues and team members
  • Despite teamworking skills you are self-driven and interested in initiating and driving change.
  • You have minimum 3 years experiences in plant, machinery or mining business in a leadership role which helped you to become a professional logistics leads when executing projects along global delivery chains.
  • Good planning, organizing and risk management skills combined with driving for results express your way of working.
  • Your German and English language skills should be on an advanced level.
  • You have a learning agility which also allows you to adjust to ERPs (MS O365, SAP MM, Insite IT LMS, Meridian)
  • Nice to have :
  • Good negotiation skills,
  • Communication skills in Russian, French or Spanish is an advantage
