This role combines Global and Local Safety responsibilities :
In this role, you define, implement and manage a Safety management system and policies to ensure that PB is a safe, healthy and compliance place.
Global responsibilities for PB Leiner worldwide
Define Global Management system and Policies for Safety and Healthy for PB LeinerMeasure the Company’s safety and healthy performanceDefine a process for safe behavior culture implementationSet and meet the overall goals, priorities and strategies based on BU StrategyStandardize the main management practicesDevelop new practicesExternal benchmark exercisePromote integration between sites for better practices sharingSupport the Safety engineers / technicianDevelop a critical analysis process on new investments in relation to safety aspectsInteract with Spirit for continuous improvement process implementationLocal responsibilities for PB Leiner Nienburg site
Manage and coordinate all safety activities in order to provide optimal operating conditions for the site and to make sure the site stays operational.Support all areas of the business regarding environmental regulations and ensuring a safety-first culture, where safety behavior is key.Provide training where necessary.Develop and maintain data records and statistics, and using the information to provide analysis and solutions.Advice and assist the line management and the employees applying all legal safety regulations with the welfare of the employees, as well all the internal processes and procedures.Assist them also in applying all necessary precaution measures in line with company´s policies and procedures.Create, control and follow up every aspect related to internal action plans to achieve targets on Health and Safety of the site and its supervised locations.Qualifications
Profile
Masters’ degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Bio-Engineering or equivalent through experience.Certified Occupational Safety Specialist is considered a plus.Minimum of 10 years’ health and safety management experience in an industrial environment, preferably food industry. Experience in this domain with an international multisite scope in different countries.You possess specialized knowledge around :Quality Systems ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP standards
Safety procedures and behavioral based safety systemsMachine & chemicals safetySafety and Environmental regulationsKnowledge of waste water treatment is a plusYou’re known as a change agent, with excellent stakeholder management skills.With your strong organizational skills, you take initiative to start up and manage projects to obtain challenging objectives. You are a pragmatic problem solver, hands-on and drive continuous improvementAs an expert lead in health and safety, you like motivating and influencing stakeholders in different levels and cultural environments to collaborate toward a healthier and safer PB Leiner.You are a team playerGood communication skills in English, verbally as well as written. Native German speaker.Willing to travel frequently, up to 20% of the time, globally.Additional Information
