The Medical Science Liaison serves to advance science and standards of care for patients healthcare providers and payers and ensure they can access all the practical and clinically relevant information and solutions they need to use AbbVies products efficiently and safely. The fieldbased Medical Science Liaison focuses on medical and scientific engagement with AbbVie stakeholders (including research and healthcare professionals payers and providers).

Key responsibilities :

  • The MSL role is covering the western territory of Switzerland Bern and Solothurn
  • Provide scientific and medical information to healthcare professionals regarding hematology assets in a nonpromotional highly scientific manner
  • Deliver credible scientific presentations and participate in scientific meetings and conferences related to hematology
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with key thought leaders and experts in the field of hematology
  • Collaborate with internal crossfunctional teams to support scientific dialogue exchange and internal training. Gather and communicate field intelligence including competitor research and medical strategies within the company
  • Stay updated on the latest scientific advancements and clinical data in hematology research
  • Support the development and execution of educational initiatives and research collaborations in the hematology therapeutic area
  • Assist in the initiation oversight and followup of clinical studies and medical projects related to hematology serve as a point of contact for thought leaders to facilitate investigatorinitiated study ideas and requests for support
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws regulations guidelines and company policies in all activities and interactions

Qualifications :

  • University degree (PhD preferred) in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining expert knowledge and excellent skills to build up a network preferably in the therapeutic area of hematological malignancies.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison preferably with direct experience within the Hematology area
  • Ability to comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with thought leaders physicians and other healthcare decision makers
  • Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures and to scientific quality and integrity
  • Business fluent in French & German.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with thought leaders physicians and other healthcare decision makers
  • Ability to translate complex medical topics into understandable messages for nonMedical staff
