Your role
As a trainee, you will contribute to ongoing work and new initiatives in the Division you will be assigned to (Business Partnering Division or Talent Management Division). Based on your education, areas of expertise or knowledge and – whenever possible – your preferences, you will be assigned to one or more of the following teams, with various responsibilities. Talent Management Division
- Development Experience : you will help design, develop and implement solutions, services and / or tools in fields such as talent acquisition, career development, including mobility and performance management.
- Talent Enablers and Culture : you will be involved in initiatives relating to staff engagement, working culture, diversity and inclusion, and HR communications.
- Learning Experience : you will contribute to developing, designing and implementing learning and development initiatives at the ECB and / or across the European System of Central Banks and the Single Supervisory Mechanism.
Business Partnering Division
HR Business Partners : you will be part of a team that partners with all ECB leaders to have a strategic impact on a broad range of people matters. You will support the team in running their seasonal activities and preparing ad hoc initiatives.HR Employee Partners : you will be part of a team that advises employees on HR policies around professional development, supports their growth and builds engagement across the ECB. You will support the team in delivering their services – newcomer onboarding sessions, farewell talks, outreach to colleagues on unpaid leave and upskilling / training sessions.Talent Acquisition : you will support recruitment processes by conducting data analysis, carrying out benchmarking studies and contributing to employer branding and talent attraction initiatives.Stakeholder Engagement Hub (Labour Relations) : you will support and facilitate the ECB’s interactions with staff representation bodies (Staff Committee and trade unions), contributing to a healthy social dialogue.Stakeholder Engagement Hub (Diversity and Inclusion – D&I) : you will support the team in developing and implementing D&I initiatives and collaborating with key stakeholders within the ECB (e.g., D&I ambassadors from different business areas and the ECB diversity networks) and across the European System of Central Banks.In most teams, you will be required to conduct data analysis and benchmarking, make suggestions to improve products and processes and contribute your knowledge and data skills to projects within the respective division. Some teams may also require knowledge of and / or practical experience in the field of multimedia (content creation, visual reporting, video editing, basic graphic design). The position offers you opportunities to put the knowledge you have acquired during your studies into practice. You will gain an insight into the ECB’s activities and contribute to the ECB’s mission. Qualifications, experience and skills
Essential :
a bachelor’s degree or higher in HR management, communication, business administration, social and organisational psychology, law or another relevant field;theoretical knowledge of and / or practical experience in one or more of the following areas : diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, employer branding, employment law, HR communications, industrial / labour relations, learning and development, leadership development, organisational psychology / culture, performance management, career management, onboarding and offboarding, employability, recruitment / talent acquisition;knowledge of data analysis, visualisation and reporting as well as the ability to present data in meaningful and engaging ways;demonstrated potential for growth and adaptability in a dynamic and digital work environment;sound communication skills including drafting and storytelling;a good knowledge of the MS Office package;an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the .You are curious and eager to learn, and want to further develop your ability to analyse complex information. You are keen to collaborate with others, pursue team goals and learn from other people’s diverse perspectives.
