Staff Scientist, Bioinformatics (Fixed term - 2 years)
- Leading technical aspects of bioinformatics and software projects within R&D, from requirements analysis to deployment.
- Providing bioinformatics expertise and insights to multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborating with product management, domain specialists, and developers to define technical roadmaps and prioritize feature development.
- Mentoring junior team members to foster skill development and ensure high-quality work.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in bioinformatics and integrating these into software development projects.
- Working with diverse teams to integrate bioinformatics knowledge into software solutions seamlessly.
Technical Requirements
- Degree in computer science, bioinformatics, or a related field; PhD or at least 6 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
- Solid understanding of bioinformatics concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
- Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases (, BLAST, Genome Browsers, NCBI databases).
- Familiarity with data analysis techniques and statistical methods.
- Proficiency in object-oriented software development (, .Net, Java), frameworks, and tools.
