Structural Engineer

GRADEL Group, a medium-sized company with 70 employees, delivers cutting-edge solutions for space & defence, nuclear, and glass industries, while its subsidiary GRADEL LW pioneers sustainable lightweight design and production. At the heart of this innovation is our unique composite manufacturing technology : Gradel Robotic Additive Manufacturing (GRAM) – an endless filament 3D winding process.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a talented Structural Engineer to support the development of our activity and help drive the adoption of GRAM technology. You will play a key role in designing and validating structural components for high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

FE analysis of lightweight composite components for space and other advanced applications.

Analytical calculations of fasteners and bolted connections.

Interpret FEA analysis and propose improvement to the design team.

Produce accurate technical documentation and calculation notes.

Respect project deadlines and deliverables.

Your Profile

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Solid knowledge in static, modal, buckling analysis. Experience in thermal or dynamic analysis is an asset

Experience with ECSS or EUROCODES standards

Skills in computational programming (VBA, Python)

Ability to work independently while being a strong team player and communicator

Organised, methodical, practical, and innovative problem-solver

Proficiency in FEMAP & NASTRAN is an asset

Experience in space or aeronautic industry is an asset

Fluent in English (spoken and written); French or German is a plus
