The district of Rotenburg (Wümme) with around 164,000 inhabitants (m / f / d) is located between Hamburg and Bremen and is part of the Hamburg metropolitan region. The Office for Digitization and IT with its 28 employees is divided into the areas of information technology, e-administration, information security and IT service. As head of department, you are responsible for five employees in the Geo-Service and Digitization divisions.

Your tasks :

  • You will be responsible for the technical and personnel management of the eAdministration team.
  • You are responsible for the conceptual development of your team and the digital administration in cooperation with the Organization team of the Main and Personnel Office.
  • You will design solutions for digital services for the efficient fulfillment of your own and external official tasks.
  • You will also be responsible for digitalization projects in line with the district's digitalization strategy. You will have a particular focus on culture and internal communication in the district administration.
  • You will continue to develop your department into a modern service provider with a focus on customers and results.

Your profile :

  • You have a university degree (Bachelor) in business informatics, applied computer science or administrative sciences, with a focus on eGovernment combined with relevant professional experience.
  • Alternatively, you have several years of relevant professional experience in relation to the advertised activities in public administration or the private sector and are broadly positioned thematically in digitization topics, ideally also with experience in change management with regard to digitization.
  • You have practical experience in the project management of larger, interdisciplinary project teams.
  • You exemplify a strategic, highly analytical way of working that is characterized by goal and solution orientation to your employees. You keep an eye on ongoing projects at all times, taking into account the needs of the administration, and drive their implementation forward.
  • As a manager, you support your employees, encourage them to work independently, think for themselves and help them implement ideas. Supporting the managers in the company is also a matter of course for you.
  • Communication is one of your strengths. You know how to involve the various stakeholders (administrative and school staff) and convince them of your ideas. You prepare and convey information in a way that is appropriate for the target group. In the event of conflicting opinions, you act as a mediator to bring about an amicable solution. You can still defend your point of view confidently.
  • You have a class B driving license to be able to reach all locations
