Senior Software Engineer (Golang / Kubernetes)

Location : Remote

We are working with an innovative, venture-backed technology company that builds developer tools and maintains several leading open-source projects. With a global team of engineers, they focus on creating cutting-edge solutions in the cloud-native ecosystem.

If you are passionate about Golang, Kubernetes, and open-source projects, this role offers the chance to dive deep into the cloud-native ecosystem and collaborate with some of the best minds in the industry. Candidates with startup experience and exposure to U.S.-based engineering teams are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new features for both open-source initiatives and commercial products.
  • Work extensively with Kubernetes, including controllers, CRDs, and extension API servers, to build robust and scalable solutions.
  • Engage directly with users and customers to understand their challenges, address bugs, and inspire new features.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable Golang code that meets high-performance standards.
  • Contribute to documentation and testing to ensure the delivery of high-quality products for enterprise customers and open-source users.
  • Take ownership of features from concept to delivery, including user engagement, development, testing, and deployment.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Golang.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
  • Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and container architectures.
  • Enthusiasm for cloud-native technologies, including CNCF projects, developer tools, and Kubernetes platforms.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with excellent English communication skills to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
  • A strong interest in building developer tools and automation to enhance user and customer workflows.
  • A willingness to contribute code, share insights, and support open-source communities.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
  • Familiarity with collaborating with U.S.-based engineering teams.
  • Bachelors Degree in computer science or engineering
  • Masters of Engineering would be even better but not required
