(Senior) Data Engineer Data & AI - Expert Services (f/m/d)
What you are responsible for
- You team-up with our scientists, business and infrastructure experts to design data solutions that have global impact and scale to all E.ON countries
- You build and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines that ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability
- You stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply this knowledge to continuously improve our data pipelines
- You ensure high quality and stability through agile processes and peer code reviews
- You share your ideas and convince to go new ways
What you are good at
- You should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- You should have at least 2 years of experience in data engineering, at least 5 for a senior position
- You have good or excellent knowledge with Microsoft Azure
- You have a good understanding and knowledge of Python programming language, its concepts, and its associated frameworks
- You have experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- You should have experience with software development best practices, including version control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI / CD), monitoring, automation, and testing
- You should have experience in Infrastructure-as-a-Code as well as building secure cloud architectures
- Ideally you have experience working with data lakes and its concepts
- Ideally you have a strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization is a plus
- Finished Azure Certifications are a plus
- Ideally you have already experience with machine learning (data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, model selection)
- Excellent writing and communication skills, considering varying levels of precision and matching the audience
- Fluent in English; German language skills are seen as a plus
