Start-Date : Mid-September
My aerospace client is looking for a tooling design engineer to join their team in the completion of their exciting projects.
Candidates must have an EU / UK Passport due to on-site obligations
Required Skills :
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and 2D drawing, with a focus on Mechanical and Shape Design.
- Extensive experience in tooling design, particularly in sheet metal forming, with a strong background in the aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and materials.
Desired Skills :
- German speaking skills are a big plus
- Basic knowledge of tolerance and weight calculations, as well as maintainability requirements.
- Proficiency in data management tools, including SAP, PLM systems, and Microsoft Office.
Job Responsibilities :
- Design tooling for aerospace parts and products, ensuring compliance with technical, legal, production, and quality requirements.
- Construct manufacturing equipment, create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, and generate necessary manufacturing data.
- Coordinate designs with relevant departments, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to industry guidelines.
