We are looking for a motivated OBC Customer Services Agent (m / f / d) to join our growing team in Cologne . Our ideal candidate could bring some initial understanding from a travel, freight forwarding or similar aviation related role, but the passion to succeed in this fast pace environment outweighs the need for formal experience.
The successful candidate will be a self-confessed aviation geek’ and will enjoy working as part of a diverse global team a good sense of humour is needed to survive! We are also looking for fluent German and English speakers to join the team due to the international nature of our business.
Purpose of the Role
- To monitor and follow-up on-going OBC shipments in a 24 / 7 shift cover.
- To overview the running jobs needs and logistics / courier requirements and the plan meet such needs and requirements.
- To handle all ad hoc situations and provide an immediate solution to customers.
- To build strong relationships with all teams and communicate effectively.
- To build strong productive relationships with clients to ensure business objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
- To exercise both discretion and independent judgment in performing the duties of the job.
- To work with management to develop appropriate policies to achieve the goals of the Company.
- To work directly with management to implement Company policies to ensure that customer needs are being met, such as budgeting and on time delivery.
- To maximize business opportunities by offering customers tailored-made solutions to meet with clients’ requests within budgetary and operational restrictions, while making suitable profit for the Company.
- To build strong productive relationships with clients to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Monitor and tracking of on-going shipments with the purpose to ensure a high quality service is delivered to the customers and the company’s expectations are met at any time.
- Constantly updated the accurate information and status of the OBC shipment.
- Debtor and Creditor Invoicing and order settlement.
- Participate in conference calls to ensure effective sharing of information and full awareness of others in the OBC teamand other offices.
- To assist in the development and implementation of yearly strategies laid out by Senior Management and Management Teams.
- To carry out any other duties within the competence of the role holder, as requested (including additional working hours as and when required).
- To travel when required in line with business needs.
- Be aware of and comply with the company policies.
- Participate in a rotating out of hour’s duty rota within the commercial team.
