Your team
You will be part of the Alliance of DevOps Product Teams Division in the Directorate General Information Systems. Our Directorate General has around 400 staff providing the European Central Bank (ECB) with the IT systems it needs to keep prices stable and safeguard the financial system. We focus on delivering IT projects on time and within budget, maintaining stable IT operations, ensuring the highest levels of cybersecurity and resilience, and exploring innovative technologies which add business value.
In your role as IT Specialist – Cloud Platform, you will be part of a team of 28 members of staff responsible for designing, developing and maintaining our scalable cloud infrastructure, and ensuring high availability, performance and security requirements. The Cloud Platform Engineering team works closely with the product teams to integrate new features and optimise existing services, ensuring seamless deployment and smooth user experience. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, the team aims to drive innovation and support the continuous growth of our cloud-based solutions.

Working modalities
To enable the Section to maintain its business continuity capability, you will occasionally be expected to perform work during non-standard working hours and work at the ECB’s standby sites.
Further information
The contract offered will be fixed-term, the appointment being for 36 months as of the exact starting date of the selected person.
Temporary appointments may be extended or made permanent subject to organisational needs and budgetary constraints. This may result in a staff member with a non-convertible fixed-term contract being offered a convertible contract in accordance with the ECB Conditions of Employment.

Application and selection process
The recruitment process for this position will be conducted remotely. It will include a written exercise and an interview. Interviews are foreseen to take place in January 2025.
