Senior System Administrator / SysOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior System Operations & System Administrator for our client in a remote role. Join us to create cutting-edge solutions that drive significant business impact.

Responsibilities :

Manage and maintain our hosting infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our web services.

Optimize configurations for stability, speed, and manageability.

Automate manual tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.

Enhance security measures and implement best practices.

Research, design, and develop new approaches to improve infrastructure.

Document research findings and share knowledge across teams.

Actively contribute to building new hosting infrastructure for upcoming products.

Engage in technical and soft process improvements to enhance team efficiency.

Requirements :

At least 3 years of experience as a senior System Administrator

Previous work experience in a web / cloud hosting company is a must

Advanced Linux / Unix Administration

Configuration Management Tools (preferable : Puppet, any other like Ansible, or Chef is OK). Virtualization and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Experience with monitoring and logging solutions like Nagios, Prometheus, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or similar tools to monitor system health and diagnose issues

Knowledge of security best practices, including securing servers and applications, managing firewalls and intrusion detection systems, and conducting security audits

Experience with cPanel Shared Hosting administration

Experience with Plesk Shared Hosting administration

Networking Knowledge.

Understanding of network protocols (TCP / IP, HTTP / HTTPS, DNS, SSH, FTP) and network security practices.

Database Administration. Familiarity with database management, preferable : SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). Will be plus : NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)

Scripting and Automation proficiency (Bash, Python) to automate operations

Disaster Recovery and Backup Solutions

Proficiency in English , sufficient for reading technical documentation and communicating with the team.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Fully independent, working from home, with can do it-attitude

Nice to Have :

Experience with CloudLinux OS (LVE, CageFS, PHP Selector, etc.)

Cloud Services Proficiency (any of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Containerization and Orchestration (any of Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)

CI / CD Pipeline Creation and Management (any of Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI)

DevOps Understanding

Proficiency in additional languages.
