Network Administrator – Intermediate – TS / SCI required

HOW A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR - INTERMEDIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance and usage of the company’s local area network.
- Studies contractor products to determine those which best meet company needs; assists in presentation of information to management resulting in purchase and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment.
- Manages network performance and maintains network security.
- Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced.
- Installs all network software.
- Evaluates, develops and maintains telecommunications systems.
- Troubleshoots network problem Establishes and implements network policies, procedures and standards and ensures their conformance with information systems and company’s objectives.
- Trains users on network operation.
- Performs administration duties for networking hardware including routers, switches, hubs, gateways, access points, network interface cards, networking cables, network bridges, modems, ISDN adapters, firewalls and other related network hardware
- Must have firm grasp and knowledge of fiber and copper-based Ethernet technologies, capabilities and cabling and their connectivity to local and wide area networks
- Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques
- Installs and configures network hardware and software
- Provides network troubleshooting and support
- Provides technical support and training to end-users
- Administers network security
- Backs up file server data / disks
- Provides complex server maintenance
- Sets up new users and deletes old users from the network
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues with network infrastructure and / or components
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED :
Education : Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experiencePreferred Skillset / Experience :Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support
Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and softwareComprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applicationsClearance Level : TS / SCIRequired Certification(s) :DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II / 8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
IAT II 8570 / 8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalentComputing Environment certification : CCNA or CCNA-SecurityLocation : On Customer SiteAdditional :Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract

The likely salary range for this position is $83,096 - $50,817. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
