Senior Accountant, Global Finance Operations P2P

Description

As a Senior Accountant in Global Finance Operations P2P you play a key role in managing VAT reporting statistical filings and accounting tasks across multiple European entities. You are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submissions of VAT & Intrastat and EC Sales Lists while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and operational efficiency. The role will be reporting to Senior Manager Lirong Schollbach with a dotted line to Manager Global P2P Frederik D. Andersen located in Denmark. Travel activities must be expected app. 25-40 days per year.

Key responsibilities :

• Prepare and submit VAT reports and EC Sales Lists for various European countries
• Collect and process data from ERP systems (e.g. D365) and logistics tools (e.g. Sciformation) for VAT reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Legal teams to ensure access to necessary systems and documentation.
• Ensure correct use of VAT numbers and reporting codes in accordance with local regulations.
• Calculate reverse charge VAT and import VAT validate documentation and reconcile VAT accounts.
• Upload reporting files and documentation to SharePoint in line with internal guidelines.
• Liaise with local tax authorities and internal teams regarding deadlines payments and reconciliations.
• Act as a superuser in D365 and ExFlow handling error resolution and process optimization.
• General accounting support fixed assets payment processing accounting related support to the business.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly closing activities including accruals and reconciliations.
