Finance Lead

Our client is an industrial IoT company, founded in Hamburg in 2015, helping manufacturing companies achieve their digital goals efficiently. Their software enables seamless data flow across complex factory environments, integrating production, IT, and business systems, while automating data management in a standardized, resilient, and cloud-native way. They serve clients of all sizes in Automotive, Medical, and Food sectors, including KRONE, Liebherr, Handtmann, and Schunk.

The Finance Lead will play a key role in safeguarding the company’s financial health, ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations, and providing clear insights into cash flow and risks to support informed executive decisions and sustainable growth.

Location: Hamburg, Germany.
Type of contract: Permanent remote position.

Main Tasks:

• Oversee and manage all financial operations, including accounting, bookkeeping, payments, and compliance
  

• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial risks on an ongoing basis
  

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  

• Deliver regular financial reports and actionable insights to the executive team
  

• Mentor and develop members of the finance team
  

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  

• At least 7 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or consulting, including experience leading teams or projects, ideally in a startup or dynamic environment.
  

• Strong knowledge of German and international accounting standards (HGB and IFRS).
  

• Excellent communication skills in German and English (minimum C1), with the ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  

• Entrepreneurial mindset with sharp analytical skills, a proactive approach to identifying risks, and a strong attention to detail.
