YourResponsibilities

  • Leadthe technical implementation of Flexa data science initiatives andprojects from ideation and model development through deployment andmaintenance, ensuring robust and high-qualitysolutions.
  • Research, develop, and adaptalgorithms that unlock the capacity in the distributed energysystem through optimized aggregation and dispatch concepts,forecasting per household and aggregate and identifyingopportunities to distributeintelligence.
  • Mentor and guide Flexa datascientists, fostering an environment of continuous learning andimprovement.
  • Foster technical excellence, drivebest practices contribute to our open, data-driven engineeringculture.
  • Strategic Product Development : Drivethe advancement of our product development roadmap, ensuringscalable and efficient solutions that expand the reach of ourplatform.
  • Work collaboratively within Flexacross-functional teams and across partner companies, to ensurealignment with product and business goals.

  • YourProfile

  • Universitydegree (Master or PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statisticsor related fields, with focus on data science, Machine Learning oroptimization
  • 7+ years of industry experience inapplied data science or Machine Learning
  • 4+years of industry experience in a technical leadership role,overseeing data science initiatives
  • Proficiencyin software development and software practices, with strongexpertise in Python
  • Extensive hands-onexperience in developing, deploying and monitoring Machine Learningmodels in production
  • Experience in working inthe cloud, ideally AWS, with an emphasis on data and MachineLearning tools, for example SageMaker, S3 andDynamoDB
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle andresolve multiple complex data science challenges simultaneously,from conceptualization to delivery in production, within fast-pacedenvironments
  • Proven record of guiding datascientists to contribute to the organization's financialperformance
  • Excellent communication skills inEnglish, and ability to handle multiple stakeholders in across-functional setting

  • Optimizationexpertise : experience with optimization problems andmethodologies
  • Industry knowledge : workexperience in the energy industry, particularly in energy tradingor similar fields
  • Experience in time seriesdata processing, analysis and forecasting, with focus on streamingsettings
  • Hands-on experience in big datatechnologies, such as Spark and Dask, container orchestrationframeworks such as Kubernetes, and in handling Machine Learningmodels at scale
