Location Germany Berlin Berlin Remote vs. Office Hybrid (Remote / Office) Company Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co KG, Werk Berlin Organization EVP Global Functions Business Unit Digital Products and Solutions Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Siemens Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data and Platform Architect to join the Digital Core function and play a key role in shaping the data architecture and strategy within the organization. You will be responsible to lead the design and implementation of data architecture solutions that support the efficient management and utilization of data across various business functions and technical ecosystems. You either directly lead the respective projects or closely work together and steer / consult data architecture and engineering teams. During your day you focus in close collaboration with your stakeholders on strategic developments of the technical ecosystem. You partner not only with business stakeholders but work very closely with other teams within the organization to reflect on and put in place requirements coming from citizen development approaches, Cybersecurity considerations, data modeling needs, data mesh / data product concept as well as needs from data strategy and data governance. How You’ll Make an Impact

Lead the design and implementation of data architecture solutions that support the organization's data management and analytics needs, with a focus on data lakes and related technologies.
Support the harmonization and integration of multiple data platforms by providing a robust and future proof design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data architecture designs and solutions.
Define and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure the consistency and integrity of data across the organization.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to data architecture and engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that can enhance the organization's data architecture capabilities and support future growth and scalability.

What You Bring

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Proven experience as a lead data architect, with a strong understanding of data architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Proficiency in designing and implementing data architecture solutions for data lakes and related technologies, with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide data architecture and engineering teams toward achieving common goals.

Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement in data architecture practices.

In depth knowledge with regards to Snowflake, ETL / ELT processes and solutions, BI technologies, AWS and / or Azure Platforms, MS Power suite
