The CCBD (Covetrus Channel Brands Development Team) within Covetrus, focuses on bringing together the 4 brands from the existing portfolio with the aim of GPB is to deliver accelerated growth, deliver accretive margins and ensure a Covetrus owned product in every veterinary clinic and beyond.

The Senior Brands Development Manager has the primary role of supporting regional marketing / commercial lead and the local commercial organization, to achieve results and maximize potential by leading the development of best-in-class category / portfolio management across the Global Proprietary Brands portfolio.

Evaluating, aligning and driving Portfolio and Pricing strategies and measuring end-to-end performance and sales effectiveness.

He / she will support the execution and consistency of sales strategies across the channel to avoid overlaps and drive accelerated growth for the brands, increased margin for the channel and design data-driven competitive actions in order to consistently optimize the Global Proprietary Brands performance.

The CCBD team delivers open and transparent communication across all relevant stakeholders to achieve results and maximize potential.

The role ensures that no barriers exist that prevents execution of the strategy to grow the brand part of the business and drive increased margins for channels - one Covetrus, one team.

The Senior Brands Development Manager cooperates closely with other CCBD roles and the CCBD lead to ensure alignment and avoid competition between channels whilst still developing individual growth plans for different regions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting to Senior Director EULAM Corporate & Strategic Brand Development
  • Is part of the regional marketing / PM team & regional leadership teams
  • Close collaboration with Managing Directors and commercial teams to optimize product assortment
  • Translates the joint regional business plan down and agree on joint business plan and operational tactics with local marketing teams - Support the translation of regional GPB strategy and plans into country specific agenda and planning
  • Coordinate regional GPB assortment in cooperation based on each brand strategy & value proposition
  • Coordinate regional GPB pricing & positioning based on each brand strategy & value proposition
  • Translate the optimal basket-size and penetration of GPB by category to the regional / local market situation. Define and implement actions to help the sales force achieve the targeted penetration.
  • Coordinate regional GPB promotional / marketing schedule, define & align regional GPB KPI
  • Open and transparent communication across all relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate regional GPB sales & product trainings and enablement for all brands based on the local promotional schedule and local sales force needs.
  • Support regional and local category management by providing data-based mapping of GPB items against locally sold products and brands
  • Support sales activities through implementing savings tools with mapping information against local brands / products as well as competitor products
  • Acts as the go-to-person for all matters related to Global Proprietary Brands to the regional teams and as the go-to-person for all matters related to the region for the GPB brand teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of working within Covetrus in a commercial role
  • Successfully delivered on KPI’s especially top-line and bottom-line business results
  • A proven and successful ability to influence diverse groups of stakeholders to generate insights that result in increased volumes and enhanced revenue generation, while displaying exceptional leadership skills and confidence
  • Experience evaluating category / portfolio / market situations and analyzing raw data and information, transforming it into actionable sales strategies and approaches

SUCCESS CRITERIA

Within the first 12 months, the key priorities will be as follows :

  • Deliver on monthly and annual sales targets
  • Develop KPI’s on : Ambitions vs. TAM, Channel satisfaction measures and growth rate
  • Identify strategic changes to accelerate impact
  • Implementation of agreed strategy
  • Implement 360 view of all customers that enable enterprice success
  • Responsible for implementing analytic strategies that further the GPB and drive enhanced revenue generation for the GPB business
  • Communicate strategic plans with incorporated key actions acress the GPB portfolio
