What you do

  • Be the first point of contact for all topics related to Microsoft Power BI, from basic architecture to specific reporting issues.
  • Take over responsibility for PowerBI and PowerBI Gateway operations incl. Capacity Monitoring and Report Lifecycle Management.
  • Assume responsibility for the development and refinement of the data model for PowerBI reports in our Redshift data warehouse.
  • Design, develop, and deploy PowerBI reports and dashboards derived from our data warehouse.
  • Play an integral role in diverse data projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in the Rollout of our Data and Reporting Governance, Reporting Standards as well as Data Ownership & Data Stewardship routines.
  • Help Implement operational processes incl. Incident Management, Service Request Management and Problem Management.

Your skills

Who you are

  • Strong Microsoft Power BI skills, including administration, development and governance.
  • Proven proficiency in SQL and experience working with data warehouses like Redshift.
  • Hands-on data modeling skills; familiarity with dbt is a significant advantage.
  • Adeptness in translating business needs into data reports and dashboards.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both spoken and written English and German.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and insights from data.

    As a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer in our newly formed central Data Department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data insights generation. In this position, you will not only conduct independent analysis but also provide crucial support to our embedded analysts across the organization. You will be instrumental in refining our data model, ensuring data accuracy and quality, and driving our data-driven decision-making capabilities to new heights. As the team is in its nascent stages, you'll have a prime opportunity to influence its direction and help mold its foundational processes. Your Benefits
