About Process Automation Competency

Serving increasingly demanding clients and distribution partners, many insurance companies are still behind in terms of the speed and quality of their digital services. They are looking for new solutions in business process automation to improve the level of their services, accelerate typical insurance processes and overcome transactional frictions which are still common in the industry. Business process automation enhances all the functions of the insurance industry. It is applied in policy administration, claims handling and many other areas of the insurance value chain.

About the role. You will:

• Create and expand concepts for the optimized support and automation of business processes.
• Develop features and improvements in a secure, well-tested, and performant way that meet our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices. You will maintain and advocate for these standards through code reviews.
• Your tasks will include test planning, coordination and implementation as well as supporting applications during operation.
• Work directly with clients as an active member of an agile project team.
• Lead and advise the development team on BPMN best practices.
• You will advise Business Units and the specialist department to provide them with efficient IT support.
• You will be responsible for answering. complex technical questions with a long-term view.
• Support the sales process of Automation-related services.
  

About the requirements. You need:

• Degree in computer science or a comparable course of study, alternatively professional training that meets the requirements.
• 2 – 3 years of experience in working in Camunda implementation projects.
• At least 5 years of experience working in IT implementation projects.
• Excellent knowledge and experience using Java and Elasticsearch.
• Practical experience working with Spring, Spring Boot, Maven, and Docker.
• Experience in the efficient design of process flows and ideally practical experience in IT projects.
• Knowledge of Camunda and SOAP/Rest web service environments.
• High willingness to take on responsibility while working independently and autonomously.
• Analytical and conceptual skills, complemented by business knowledge.
• Fluent German and English.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with team leading experience.
• Eligibility to work in the European Union.
  

About the wishes. Nice to haves:

• Experience in building Process Automation teams.
• Knowledge of GitHub workflows and actions.
• Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience designing APIs.
• Experience working in consulting, implementation, or IT firms, particularly in the insurance or bancassurance sectors.
