For just under a decadethe company has also been active in Japan with a small subsidiarylocated in Nagoya City. In line with the company’s futuredevelopment goals, our customer is now looking for a Head of Sales(m / f / d) who can drive market expansion and sales growth whileleading and developing the local branch.
Thefocus of this position is to systematically and strategicallyexpand market share in Japan in order to ensure a betterpenetration of the Japanese market.

Lead and manage theJapanese subsidiary’s team, ensuring alignment with the company’sglobal strategiesDefine and implementeffective processes to optimizeoperationsStrategic / professional managementand further development of the team, including instruction on salesactivities and fostering a positive and collaborative workingenvironmentReporting andCommunication :
Report directly to theManaging Directors in Germany, acting as the “communicationinterface” between the Japanese subsidiary and the Headquarter inGermanyYourprofile
Successfully completeduniversity degree or vocational training with a technicalfocusRelevant experience in the sales oftechnically complex products within the machine tool industry –experience with clamping technology is aplusSolid foundation of industry knowledgeincluding an established network within the machine toolsectorLeadership experience of a small teamwould be desirable, but not necessaryBusinessfluent Japanese skills as well as very good either English orGerman skills (for the effective communication with the GermanHQ)Proactive personality, commitment andresults-orientation as well as a structured ap-proach to customeracquisition, negotiation, and closingdealsHands-on mentality paired with strategicvisionStrong intercultural communicationskillsAbility to build trust and serve as abridge between customers and the HQ inGermanyBenefits
