Your responsibilities

  • Improve and extend the current analytics infrastructure (built around Databricks)
  • Drive the data platform by observing the fast Data and AI landscape and bringing in new ideas
  • Maintain our stack by extending our setup with security measures, monitoring, auditing, policies and (data) observability
  • Build tools, templates, and processes (e.g. CI / CD) for efficient data ingestion and management
  • Enable colleagues from the Liebherr Group by providing guidance, best practices and blueprint architectures
  • Support Data Scientists and Data Engineers with Data and AI tooling

Your qualifications

  • M.Sc. Computer Science or related technical field with a focus on (Data) Platform Engineering
  • Proficiency in building secure and scalable data platforms using cloud technologies with focus on security, networking, authentication, etc.
  • Proficiency with cloud providers (e.g. Azure, AWS) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency with CI / CD (preferably GitHub Actions) and IaC (preferably Terraform / Terragrunt)
  • Experience with Databricks / Spark, data lakes as well as SQL- and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with development and operation of distributed systems
  • Excellent programming skills (e.g. Python or GoLang) and basic experience with Data Science or Machine Learning
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in German & English
