Applications Engineer Trainee (M/F/T)
Role summary :
Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced salesperson in the office (Applications Engineer). This position maintains an on-going business relationship with customers and daily interactions with Sales Engineers, external and intercompany suppliers, Technical Solutions and Commercial Operations Engineers to meet on-time delivery commitments for Pump repairs, upgrades, and spare parts to customers.
You will act as a technical inside salesperson, in a team and work closely with the sales, development, and other specialist departments at connected intercompany sites, and external suppliers.
Your tasks :
- Receiving and processing customer inquiries, orders and complaints in German or English
- Follow-up of cost estimates and offers
- Post-processing and translation of repair findings reports
- Identification of customer requirements
- Delivery time determination and delivery date monitoring
- Ordering (internal and external suppliers)
- Organization of machine transport to the service center
- Support in project preparation and support of pump repairs and upgrades
- Customer support in German and English
- Other tasks assigned
Your profile :
- Technical studies (Bachelor or Master) or mechanical engineering technician (Techniker Maschinenbau), Bachelor Professional of Technical Management (Technischer Fachwirt oder Betriebswirt), no professional experience is required
- Fluency in written and spoken German
- Good written and spoken English knowledge
- Good computer skills in common MS Office applications
- Strong and friendly communication and team skills
- Independent and reliable worker
- Affinity for both areas (technology / office)
- Willingness to perform
- Can-Do mentality
